Brief Bio

My folks were southerners.  Dad was stationed in New Jersey on his way to Korea.  He was there the year I was born.  He saw me for the first time when I was nine months old.  The Army told him he was going back to Korea for another year.  He said he wasn’t going back to Korea even if it was peacetime!  The factories were paying more than the Army so with a family to raise, he became a civilian after nine and half years.

So, I was born and raised in New Jersey on fried chicken, grits, mashed potatoes and gravy.  My folks talked Southern and my friends were true Northerners with the accent.
